The Essential Oils used in Green Genes Apothecary soaps are: Juniper, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Geranium and Patchouli. This soap falls into our Medicinal / Dry Skin Types category and is a great choice for sensitive or disturbed skin when frequent washings are needed. For instance, attending to deep wounds, cuts or abrasions. Comfrey's makeup is probably it's success in treating external wounds and sores. Silicon, potassium, phosphorus and nitrogen are all properties of Allantoin, which is found in Comfrey. Allantoin is a very healing substance because it promotes cell regeneration, even in deep wounds and open sores. Along with the comfrey leaves used, Calendula petals have been infused into the Olive Oil strengthing their medicinal properties allowing them to fight a wide spectrum of baterial and fungal infections. Juniper Oil is a natural Antiseptic and Antifungal. Some of the uses for this oil are beneficial to oily and disturbed skin, wet eczema,and acne. Coughs, liver problems,and ulcers are also helped by juniper, also, it is often used as a diurectic. Rosemary Oil is naturally Antiseptic, a mental and physical stimulent, helps with musculor aches and pains, gout, skin infections, and much more. Eucalyptus Oil is Antiinflammatory as well as Antiseptic, Antibiotic, Antiviral, Analgesic, deoderizing, and an insect repellent. Peppermint Oil is Antisepic as well,and, neutralizies oily skin. Traditional uses include; inflammation, nausea, indigestion, headache and migraines...to name but a few. Patchouli Oil is also Antiseptic and a natural Antibacterial and Antifungal.
